KONVOY
The targeted design of complex cooperation structures within data-driven value creation networks has rarely been approached systematically to date. In practice, this often leads to inefficiencies, wasted resources, and failed partnerships. There is a lack of approaches for a sustainable value creation configuration that equally considers economic, technical, organizational, and social dimensions. Only in this way can constellations of actors and organizational boundaries be configured with foresight and potential be responsibly tapped.
The project is developing an integrative framework for the configuration and further development of data ecosystems and work systems in the context of value creation oriented toward the common good. Using a taxonomy, scenarios, and formal modeling and simulation, stakeholders will be able to shape their collaborations, structures, and competencies in a targeted manner. In addition, the developments of the funded projects will be analyzed and prepared for transfer in order to identify potential evolutionary paths.
To make the complexity of data-driven value creation systems manageable, KONVOY takes a holistic approach. Technical, organizational, and social dimensions are considered in an integrated manner to reveal interactions. Using a taxonomy and scenario-based visions of the future, formal models are developed that enable the simulation of various configurations. This allows stakeholders to better assess the impact of their decisions on the overall system.
The research contribution lies in the development of a framework concept that combines modeling, simulation, and scenarios. This not only identifies possible evolutionary paths but also derives concrete recommendations for action regarding the design of collaborations and structures. The results provide a robust foundation for decision-making in research, practice, and policy and promote the transfer of knowledge into data-driven and public-interest-oriented value creation.
